June 12: Gabaya felicitates with Nigerians, says democracy has taken root

The Executive Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon (DR) John Gabaya has sent a message of felicitations to Bwari Area Council residents, declaring that the celebration the 25th Democracy Day in Nigeria indicates that democratic governance has taken root.
His Chief Press Secretary,Agada Ernest Godwin in a statement quoted the Chairman to have described the day as one of extreme significance in the history the Nation as it marks the return of power to the people.

“Our uninterrupted democracy since 1999, is proof of its overwhelming popularity and acceptance, as it has allowed the active participation of everyone in the society in choosing their leader.

“In Bwari Area Council, we will continue to extend the democratic dividends to the greater majority of our people.

“l Call on all Bwari people, Nigerians and friends of our dear country to support our effort to deepen democratic values towards ensuring that our people are major stakeholders in the process of governance.”

While Commending the people for keeping faith with the Government, he said, “Our desire to strengthen democracy and give its true meaning informs the investment we are making in the social re-engineering of our Council through the Provision Of Infrastructure and human capital development needed to unlock the growth and development of the Bwari Area council of our dream”.

“We salute and commend the courage of our patriots, living and dead, who sacrificed everything, including their lives, in the cause of June 12 and the birth of democracy in our land. You are our heroes and heroines.”
He congratulated all Bwari People for showing greater solidarity and followership with his purposeful leadership in the Council.
