A socio-political group, the Igala Vanguard, has lauded Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, representing Kogi East senatorial district, for his unwavering commitment to the empowerment youths through programs that enable them to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the state.

Echocho recently donated 20 million Naira to support 20 young entrepreneurs and distributed 3000 bags of rice across the 9 local government areas constituting the senatorial district.

The leader of the group, Engr Lawrence Ankpa, gave the commendation in a statement shared with journalists in Abuja on Monday night.

“Community impact-based projects and initiatives can only be achieved when we have individuals like Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho who truly care for the growth and development of their people,” he said.

While appreciating Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho’s initiative, the statement emphasized that the gesture would significantly contribute to the financial independence of the various beneficiaries of the empowerment scheme.

The group also applauded the unbiased selection process of beneficiaries from across the 9 local government areas.

“Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho has proven himself to be a people-oriented public servant who continues to dedicate himself to moving his people forward,” Akpa said.

Furthermore, Engr Akpa urged the beneficiaries to ensure the proper utilization of the funds and not to see it as an opportunity for extravagant living.

The group also appealed to the Senator to ensure the continuation of the empowerment programs, as it holds the potential to uplift many from poverty.

They also acknowledged the successful cash disbursement of Senator Jibrin’s empowerment programs before this 20 million naira disbursement.

Igala Vanguard appealed to the senator not to be distracted by unnecessary comparisons, highlighting his distinguished track record since his days as an Executive Director of a bank.

In the statement, the group gave the breakdown of the beneficiaries reflecting representation from the nine local governments in Kogi East Senatorial District.
