Niger South APC Zonal Chairman assumes office, hails Gov Bago, State Chairman

***says Lavun rerun not negotiable.

The Vice Chairman (Zonal) Niger South of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Shuaibu Ibnu Ahmed (Yamini) has described Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State as a leader with great commitments who has impressive steps towards giving the State a new face in growth and development in all ramifications.

He spoke on Tuesday during the official handing over and his introduction to the State and Zonal Executive Members of APC, Niger South by his predecessor, Hon. Zakariyau Rabba at the partys Zonal Office in Bida, Niger State.
Recall that Some months back the State Chairman, Deputy State Chairman and Secretary of Niger State APC resigned thier positions.
A statement by his special adviser on Media and Strategic Communication Mohammed Yaqub Yeyewee quoted the Zonal Chairman to have expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Governor for giving him the rare opportunity to work with him from the Party as he pledged total support and loyalty.

He commended the State Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Musa Bobi for his leadership as he appealed to members to pray and support him in achieving his lofty visions for the Party and the State.

Alhaji Shuaibu thanked his colleagues from the Zonal and State caucuses for their warm reception as he urged them to be united and not to relent in offering their pieces of advice to him at all the time.

He prayed Almighty Allah to continuously protect and guide the Governor as he sets Niger State on a pedestrian of achieving unprecedented democratic dividends.

He reminded the Party officials of the task ahead of them in Lavun Local Government Area urging all Party members to get prepared for the rerun elections as another opportunity has been provided to appraise the performance of the party adding that they must ensure that nothing is compromised in achieving victory on a landslide.

Earlier, Alhaji Zakariyau Rabba has asked for forgiveness wherever he erred when he held sway as the Zonal Chairman and pleaded for support as he assumed his new office as the Deputy State Chairman of APC.

Members of the State Working Committee of the Party, Zonal Executive Members as well as the Local Government Party Chairmen from Niger South attended the official handing over meeting.
