Excitement in Birninkudu Community over Completion of N800m World Bank Water Project

The people of Birninkudu have expressed excitiment over the successful completion and commissioning of the N800 million World Bank water project at Birninkudu local government area of JIgawa state.

The district head of Birninkudu, Alhaji Garba Hassan Jibrin gave the indication in an interview with news men shortly after the inaugration of the new executive members of the Voice of Birninkudu a Self Help Association of the local government area.

The district head who is a pioneer of the Community based Organization said the Voice of Birnin Kudu influenced the securing, supervision and successful completion of the World Bank multi-million Naira water project at the headquarters of the local government area.

Alhaji Jibrin explained that “The Voice of Birninkudu is a non political and non profitable organization established in 2018 with the aim to unite the people of the local government area irrespective of political affilliation for the common objective of improving and sustaining the development of all area”.

According to him “Birninkudu is one of the widest and oldest local government area with its citizens  spread across the globe.

He said they are so scattered in the diasporas with no much vision and mission for the development of the area in terms of human and infrastructural development.
He acknowledged that Some have been making contributions at individual or small group levels with little or no impact on the communities in the area”.

“These and other reasons made it expedient to came up with the idea of centralizing the small group and associations to involve all.
“I was appointed as the chairman as the traditional leader and father of everyone”.

He added that, “The association in collaboration with elected politicians, political appointees at all levels,  philanthropic and business people in this five years have achieve a lot in securing and executing of so many projects such as the World Bank Water project, a Mega power station, Federal College of Education (special), one of the best hospitals but to mention a few”.

He expressed the optimism that the unity, cooperation and understanding of the members and the general public in the area will help him to succeed and achieve the needed improvement in the lives of the people.

While delivering his speech at the event the secretary to the State government, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim who is also from the area, promised to do all within his power to address some of the challenges related to the state government.

Also the senior council of Dutse emirate (Galadiman Dutse) Alhaji Basiru Muhammad Sunusi charged the new leaders to work hard and take the association to the next level.

The newly inaugurated leaders include Alhaji Balarabe Sa’id as chairman, Alhaji Idris Ibrahim vice chairman, Malam  Dauda Mu’az as secretary, Ibrahim Isyaku as assistant secretary, Hajiya Jummai Bala as treasurer and comrade Kabiru Zubairu as Publicity secretary.
