Yuletide: Senator Echocho distributes truck loads of 50kg rice to constituents

The Senator representing Kogi East senatorial district, Isah Jibrin (Echocho), has distributed truck loads of rice and other food items to people of constituency for Christmas celebration.
The lawmaker distributed the 50kg bags of rice on the eve of Christmas to enable the Christian folks celebrate the commemoration of the birt of Jesus Christ and have enough to extend to their neighbours.
The bags of rice were distributed among the nine local Government areas that made up the senatorial district.
A statement by his special Adviser on Media and publicity, Mikail Ibrahim indicated that the senator distributed the items through Ibrahim Ahmadu, his Legislative Aid.
According to him, the gesture is to support his constituents, particularly the less privileged, to celebrate with joy.
Echocho said Christmas is a season of love, peace, merriment, and almsgiving, particularly for the less privileged.
He assured people of the senatorial district more support from him to improve their standard of living.

“I am glad to join my Christian brothers and sisters to celebrate the Christmas. I am supporting this year’s celebration with bags of rice.

“The Christmas celebration calls for sober reflection on the teachings of Jesus Christ which emphasizes sacrifice, love and unity.

In his words, “Today, we are distributing rice to various towns, villages across the nine local governments in Kogi East senatorial district.” The gesture he said will go a long way in supporting some families to celebrate Christmas with the sense of fulfillment in the face of the economic crunch

He said that the packages are not just meant for party faithful, but for his people of Kogi East.

He called on the people to use the period to pray for economic growth and development of the district, the state, and Nigeria at large.
