Bello querries Ohimege Igu over death of APC supporter
Kogi state government has issued the Ohimege Igu of Kotonkarfe, HRM, Abdulrazaq Isah Koto a querry over the death of a female supporter of All Progressives Congress (APC) before the November 11th, governorship election in the state.
The APC supporter, Khadijat Yahaya, was killed in front of his palace in October during the campaign rally of the governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, in Kotonkarfe.
The SDP had denied claims by the APC that Khadijat was killed by Ajaka supporters during their party’s rally in the town insisting that she was one of the thugs that attacked their campaign.
The state government has, however queried the Ohimege for allowing such ugly development to have taken at his palace front yard.
The query indicated that he Royal father’s action or inaction caused the security breach in his domain and so he must respond immediately.
Even though the Ohimege is yet to openly make any comment about the query, palace source indicated that the traditional ruler had already made official his response to the state government query.
“Even the Sultan of Sokoto and some other prominent personalities have been informed about the development and are already wading into the issue,” the source stated.
It was gathered that the query tied around the APC supporter death was just a cover up as the the governor is said to have suspected the Ohimege to have given support for the governor’s candidate, Usman Ododo in the just concluded governorship election.
