In a bid to mobilise grassroots support for Alh Ahmed Ododo/Joel Oyibo in the upcoming Kogi State governirship election billed for November 11th, 2023, an Amazon and the wife of the Auditor General of Kogi State, Hajiya Jemila Yakubu Okala has distributed millions of Naira worth of clothings and food stuffs to various women support groups and families .
Hajiya Okala while flagging off the distribution of the items at Ajiolo Ajikpome community in Dekina local government area maintained that the kind gesture was a frantic measure put in place to mitigate the harsh effect of the harsh economic reality facing families as well as networking for the actualisation of Ododo Ahmed governorship ambition in the November Kogi State election.
She tasked all the women support groups, families, benefitaries of the largesse and the totality of Odu ward one, Odu ward two and Ajiolo communities to turn out en-masse to cast their votes for the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress and its candidate , Alhaji Ahmed Ododo as governor.
According to Hajiya Jemila Yakubu Okala, the realisation of Ododo as governor of Kogi State beyond 2024 will bring more socio-economic and infrastructural transformation to all the nooks and crannies of the state.
She applauded the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and her husband, Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf Okala for their dedication and tireless efforts geared towards advancing the cause of development of rural communities and investments in human capacity growth..

Our correspondent who covered the event observed that Ajiolo Ajikpome community came to a stand still as a mammoth crowd of the APC besieged the community to demonstrate their collective readiness to support YY Okala in delivering one hundred percent vote for the party and its candidate during the election.
