The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has said it is aware of the fake, sinister and malicious publication in some media alleging that David Ombugadu would sack some Emirs when he is declared winner.

The PDP leadership in the state urged the public to disregard such malicious and fake publication concocted by some persons who are bent on causing division and blackmail that is capable of undermining the dreams of the founding fathers of the State

In a statement made available to journalists by the state chairman of the PDP, hon Francis Orogu, he indicated that the leadership of the party has noted with great concern how some persons have taken to creating confusion and blackmail against Dr. David Ombugadu after the tribunal declared him winner of the March 18 governorship election.

“We call on the good people and friends of Nasarawa state to ignore any publication both in the social and conventional media insinuating that David Ombugadu would sack some Emirs in the state when he is sworn in as governor.

“We will surely give better attention to our traditional rulers. The party as well as Dr. David Ombugadu do not and will not sack any traditional ruler. Ombugadu is a naturally peace loving leader who would not tolerate religious or ethic crisis.

“It is not in his intentions or that of the party. We respect the traditional institution. We hold them in high esteem. Nobody should exercise any fear. The PDP is the party of a big family. We have tge heart for everybody.

“No amount of blackmail and hate speeches can tarnish our incoming governor David Ombugadu, and a new Nasarawa state where everybody matters, development in every sector and welfare of the people will be our first agenda.

“We call on all our supporters and other political parties to join hands and support David Ombugadu as new Nasarawa state is set to emerge”.
