Niger NNPP chapter demands suspension of its Presidential candidate, Kwankwaso
***Accuses him of Trading, distablizing Party
The New Nigeria people’s party (NNPP), Niger state chapter has called for the immediate suspension of its presidential candidate, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from the party for anti party activities which it said will no longer be tolerated.
The party equally accused Kwankwaso of romancing with the opposition parties before, during and after the 2023 general elections, an attitude they believe amounted to trading and capable of distablizing the Party.
In a communique after it’s emergency meeting held at the party secretariat at the weekend, a copy which was made available to newsmen in Minna, the party also accused the two term governor of Kano state of trading with the party, stressing that “Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s attitude is no longer bearable to the Members and the Executives of the party In the state”.
The party said the meeting also reviewed the purported dissolution of the executives of the party at the wards, local government, state chapters and the recent suspension of the founding father and Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Dr Boniface O. Aniebonam and Dr Major Agbo, the National publicity Secretary by the Presidential candidate, describing it as unacceptable.
The party said the meeting rejected the purported dissolutions of the wards, local government and state chapters over unsubstantiated allegations of Anti party activity, stressing that “the action of the NWC was done in a flagrant violation of the party constitution.
“We entirely disagree with the accusations of the involvement of the state executive in anti party activities by the remote controlled National Working Committee (NWC) while exonerating and watching the leader Engr Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who has bee roaming and trading with the party”.
The meeting then passed a vote of confidence on the wards, local government and state executives of the party and directed them to continue to work diligently for the success of the party, adding that the suspension of the founding father/BOT Chairman and the National publicity Secretary by the NWC is nothing but a drama that has no basis for discussion.
The party pointed out that “the recent engagement with other political parties candidates and several meetings with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu before, during and after the 2023 general election is enough evidence to suspend him from leadership of the party”.
They called on the Founder/ BOT Chairman to as a matter of urgency withdraw the MoU signed with Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso and retrieve the party from him to save it from total collapse.
The party also recalled the role played by some leaders and members of NWC where they induced some states to course certain actions with a view to actualizing a hidden game plan.
The meeting therefore resolved to expose all atrocities committed in the process as well as seek redress in a court of law.
