By Ahmed Rufa’i, Dutse
The outgoing governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar and an APC leader who has been a major financier of the party (APC) in the state, Alhaji Isah Gerawa, had over the weekend resolved their political differences mainly caused by disagreement over sharing of elective positions under APC in 2023 general elections.
Gerewa is also said to be a right hand man of the vice president elect senator Kashim Shettima.
Reports from the state indicated that the two leaders of the ruling APC had at last reconciled their political differences having agreed to support the incoming administration at the center and in the state.
National Update checks in the state indicated that the reconciliation is base on their future political interest at the federal level as the outgoing governor is said to be eyeing a ministerial appointment while the business mogul wants to continue to attract lucrative contracts at the state and national level.
It was further gathered that the reconciliation was initiated by some elected members who were sponsored by the business tycoon with the sole aim of ensuring the party is not fragmented by the strife
The meeting between the two APC prominent personalities that held somewhere had been concluded at government house Dutse.
