Tinubu returns as Shettima, APC govs, supporters, welcome him to Nigeria

The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Monday ahead of his May 29 inauguration.
Both Tinubu and wife Remi arrived the country via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in the afternoon.
The former Lagos state governor who traveled to France since March 22, returned ahead of his inauguration as President on May 29, 2023.

Friends, relations and party supporters thronged the airport since 10am to give him a rousing welcome.

The aircraft that conveyed him touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 04:30pm more than two hours behind his scheduled arrival.

Tinubu was declared winner of the February 25 poll and was declared the President-Elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
