JIgawa PWDs vow to vote candidate with Commitment to members’ welfare, wellbeing

The JIgawa state Association of People with Disability (PWDs) has said it would support only the governorship candidate that has shown commitment to members’ welfare and wellbeing.

The zonal national vice chairman in charge of northwest, Comrade Muhammad Usman in a speech delivered at a meeting with the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Malam Umar Namadi Danmodi at Manpower Development Institute, Dutse, said they will support the candidate of the political party that showed commitment to their welfare and wellbeing.

Comrade Usman thanked the deputy governor for recognizing them and even attaching importance to their travails and inviting them to the very important one-on one roundtable.

The zonal vice chairman appealed to the APC flagbearer to continue with good policies and programmes for the people with disability.Such policies he listed to include monthly social security to PWDs, free education to PWDs and the children etc.

He therefore reaffirmed the association’s loyalty and support of members to the JIgawa state government at all times and any developmental plans and projects.

On his part the JIgawa State All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate who is also the state’s deputy governor Malam Umar Namadi Danmodi represented by the Special Assistance to the Governor on PWDs, Comrade Habibu Murtala Taura has called on all the People with Disability to continue to pray for peace and harmony for the country during the transition period.

Malam Umar Namadi Danmodi told them that succor awaits the PWDs as new policies and programmes that will improve their fortunes will be unveiled by the administration he heads if elected in to office as governor of Jigawa state in the next few months.

He therefore called on the PWDs to continue to support the policies of the incumbent government, as he pleaded for support for them to vote APC in the forthcoming governorship and state’s Assembly elections for continuity, good policies and programmes.
