Senator-elect promises to work hard to curtail drug abuse among youths

The JIgawa northwest senator elect, Alhaji Babangida Hussaini has promised to make extra effort to curb the menace of drug abuse in addition to creating job opportunities for the youth in his senatorial district.

Hussaini spoke shortly after a close door meeting with the APC gubernatorial candidate in the State, Malam Umar Namadi in Dutse.
He said he was aware of the numerous challenges facing his constituents, “I will do my best to bring the much needed succor in the area of massive infrastructural and human development through empowerment programmes”.

According to him “I want to assure you that I remain indebted to your support in making me victorious during my election as your Senator, I will ensure you reap the dividends of democracy better than before”.

Babangida Hussaini assured the people of his constituency of better and qualitative representation than before.
He expressed appreciation to them for their total support and understanding during his campaigns leading to his being elected as their Senator.

He pledged further to focus on liberating the womenfolk through empowerment programmes among others.

The newly elected senator lauded INEC for conducting a hitch free exercise, “the introduction of BVAS has positively assisted in the smooth conduct of the general elections”.

Babangida Hussaini was declared winner as the Senator Representing Jigawa North West under APC having scored the highest number of votes 187,049 defeating other six opponents including a former governor of Jigawa state, Senator Ibrahim Saminu Turaki of PDP who scored 134,199 vote
