***As PDP wins 70% of seats in Assembly elections

The final result of Saturday’s parliamentary elections in Kaduna State showed that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 70 percent of the seats contested.
The election became another avenue for renewal of old rivalry between the Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and Senator Shehu Sanni who represented Kaduna Central in the eight senate.
The duo have been having a running battle over polical supremacy which cul.inated in the exit of the senator from the ruling APC.
The APC won in four, while LP secured 2 seats, representing 20% and 10% respectively.
The former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district who is Civil Rights activist, Shehu Sani headed PDP technical Committee that strategically brought about the victory for the party.
Senator who spoke to newsmen in Abuja said, the feat could be attributed to their committee

According to him, “The Committee designed a functional strategy to upstage the All Progressives Congress, APC National Assembly and Nasir El-Rufai’s preferred candidates in Kaduna in last Saturday’s elections and it perfectly worked, given the outcome that was released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Prior to the election, a technical Committee was inaugurated by the Kaduna State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party with Shehu Sani as Chairman, while a former Commissioner in Kaduna State, Mohammed Wusolo and ex-Kaduna House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Farakwai serve as members.

The Committee was mandated to mobilise members, voters and reach out to women and youth groups across party lines. This is in addition to traditional rulers, workers and the aggrieved retrenched teachers in the State.

The Committee was asked to embark on mass media campaigns which the Committee got support and solidarity of the public in the State.

Explaining further Sani said the APC consistently engaged Islamic clerics in their propaganda, while Labour Party uses Christian Clerics, but the Committee chose to engage workers teachers and the bandits riddled part of Kaduna State.

So, PDP 10 of the 16 Federal Constituency seats in Kaduna as follows:
