JIgawa SDP guber candidate, others join PDP, As Atiku Promises $10 billion empowerment for Youths Women

The JIgawa state gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Ahmed Bello, and his supporters have dumped the party for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Bello announced his defection at the PDP presidential campaign rally in Dutse, where he was received by the PDP national chairman Dr. Iyorchia Ayu and the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Speaking while receiving the decampees, Ayu called on the people of the state and the country at large to vote for Atiku and all other candidates of the party at all levels.
Ayu noted that with the mammoth crowd at the rally, the party is convinced that JIgawa is for the umbrella, adding that Sule Lamido is in control, hence they are optimistic of winning in Jigawa.
The national chairman admonished the people to troop out enmass on the 25th of this month to vote PDP in all positions, adding that they will not regret it.
In his speech, Atiku promised to commit the sum of $10 billion to women and youth empowerment.
He also promised to declare a state of emergency on unemployment, especially for the youths and women in the country and the northwestern parts of Nigeria if voted into power.
According to him, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is concerned with the state of joblessness and poverty among women and youth whom are the leaders of tomorrow.”
He reiterated that his administration would pay maximum attention to agriculture as well as trading to revive and improve the national economy by diversifying the source of revenue.
Alhaji Abubakar maintained that “farming and trading are the main business of people in JIgawa state and the northwest. We will do our best to improve the sectors to ensure wealthy communities. “
“To complement this, all the land boarders would be opened to continuous trading between Nigeria and all our neighboring countries, this is aimed at improving the economies of the countries”
On his part, the former JIgawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, urged the people of the state to vote for Atiku, as he assured them that he would fulfil all the promises he has made.
“Alhaji Atiku the Waziri of Adamawa is a very good administrator, I’m sure he will perform wonderfully and save the country from the present bad leadership.
