Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has appealed to rural dwellers to vote for him in the forthcoming elections.

Sule stated this at town hall meetings held seperately in Udege and Loko Development Areas in Nasarawa Local Government Areas of the State during the second phase of his campaign across the 18 development areas of the state which began on Monday.

According to him, “My administration has kept faith with the party’s manifestos in the provision of good governance and will continue to deliver dividend of democracy to the citizens of the Stateat all times

“As you can see AA Sule has been able to tackle insecurity in most of the rural communities. Now you can agree with me that within the period of this administration you have been going about your businesses without fear.
“You have been working on your farms without being attacked by criminals.

“I call on you to vote APC from top to bottom so that we will continue to do more. When I say from top to bottom I mean from the president down to the state house of Assembly.

“We thank our traditional rulers for believing in us. They are doing well in maintaining law and order. This is in line with the AA Sule policy thrust ,” Sule said.

Mr. Danladi Madaki who spoke at Udege Development Area, commended Sule for his developmental strides and for executing projects and services that have direct bearing on the welfare and livelihoods of the people.

In his remarks, overseer of Udege Development Area, Hon Salisu Adamu pledged the people’s support for the second term bid of Governor Sule to enable him succeed.

In Loko, Governor Sule said the visit was part of his grassroots engagements to interface with people in rural communities to solicit support for second term.

He indicated that the achievements recorded by his administration in tackling insecurity in the area was largely due to support of the people of the communities.

“We are happy that cases of criminal activities around Maraban Udege down to Loko are now things of the past because those of you at the grassroots have been playing pivotal role in various areas such as agriculture, solid minerals which are critical to the development of the economy.

“We consider you very vital to our government because of our focus on upgrading the standard of education, I have given directive for 1000 primary school teachers to be employed.

“We will continue to create more opportunities for our teeming youths to have jobs. Loko is so dear to my heart because I have long standing relationship with the people of this area since the formative years of my political career. I will ensure you are not left behind if I am given another mandate.

“I am optimistic that you will remain committed to the support you have been giving to us. My second tenure will focus on poverty eradication, job creation and youth empowerment. I will not fail you. I have the fear of God almighty in my heart.”

The Governor equally assured civil servants in the state of the full payment of their promotion benefits, as he urged the local government chairmen and overseers of development areas to endeavour to increase their payment to 50 percent by this month.

Sule assured that by the end of his first term on May 29th, all outstanding promotions benefit would have been paid in the state, local government and development area levels.
