    Kogi Amazon, Natasha takes philanthropy to schools, promises to pay WAEC fees for students

    The senatorial candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Kogi Central, Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan fondly referred to as Kogi Amazon has pledged to offset the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) fees for students in the senatorial district
    She promised to dole out the sum of five million naira for the purpose
    The Kogi Cetral senatorial standard bearer made the disclosure on Sunday when she met with students and different groups who have openly declared their support for her candidature in her country home in Ihima, Okehi LGA, Kogi State.
    The payment, she expressed the optimism will ameliorate the suffering of parents who may be finding it difficult to pay the WAEC fees of their wards in the five local government areas of Kogi Central senatorial distinct.
    She promised to up the ante and also lobby different organizations to channel their corporate social responsibility (CSR) to support educational programmes when she gets to the Senate.

    “I am doing this as a private citizen, I know it’s not enough but I promise to do more and support educational development of our people when I get to the Senate,” she said.
    Natasha also promised to work with students when she gets to the National Assembly as she charged them to find solutions to the societal challenges through innovative ideas.

    “When you get back to your various schools, spread the message of hope, this is one chance to fix the future, four years is too long to waste,” she added.
    The PDP senatorial candidate has been known for her philanthropic gestures even before she ventured in to politics by giving support to the educational development of her people.
    Recall that in 2015, she adopted 600 children in her country home and gave them scholarship for them to have access to quality education.
    Akpoti had also given similar support to students in the higher institutions for them to achieve their academic goals.
