The Director General, Yakubu Abdullahi Maidoya Governorship campaign council, Barr. Innocent Lagi has taken a swipe at the incombent governor, Abdullahi Sule for dragging the state backward than he met it in 2019.

Barr. Innocent Lagi made the claim at a media parley organized by the Nigerian Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Nasarawa chapter.

Lagi while responding to questions journalists on ‘why his principal want the number one office already occupied’, he indicated that governor Sule has failed to mentain the legacy of development his prodecesor left behind.

“Between 2019 till date there is nothing to compare in terms of what more resources could not do and what relatively less resources has done.

“Anybody who supports a movement backward is not himself progressive. We saw some progress being made by the previous administration of Tanko Al-Makura as governor.

“We want to take over this government and do better the way Al-Makura did and not to allow Abdullahi Sule pull us backward.

“The people have rejected governor Sule in all the places he has gone so far that we know and he knows. We will spoil every effort Gov Sule is making in the destruction of Nasarawa.

Lagi noted however that similar movement that abruptly ended the second bid of the former governor Akwe Doma in 2011, is hugely in the making.

He called on people of the state to vote the NNPP governorship candidate, Hon. Yakubu Maidoya in the 2023 general elections for continuity in infrastural and human capital development of the state.
