    National sports festival to hold between 15th Nov to 10th Dec -FG

    The Federal Government has affirmed 28th November – 10th December, 2022 as the date for 21st National Sports Festival holding in Asaba, Delta State.
    The minister Sunday Dare gave the indication after the virtual meeting of the National Council on Sports on Wednesday

    A communique signed by the minister which was issued on wednesday stated that, the Virtual Meeting of the National Council on Sports took place on Wednesday 19th October, 2022.
    “In his opening remarks, the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare pointed out that the Council deliberated on issues relating to the 21st National Sports Festival and:

    The communique inducated that the council approved that the three (3) compulsory Para sports in the National Sports Festival namely: Para Athletics, Para Powerlifting and Para Table Tennis would no longer feature in the National Sports Festival.

    However, the council àapproved the inclusion of Cricket in the 21st National Sports Festival.
    On the other hand Netball, Teqball, Mixed Martial Art were approved for demonstration at the 21st National Sports Festival
    It also approved 3rd – 5th November, 2022 as date for Inspection of Facilities and Joint Technical Meeting for the 21st National Sports Festival.

    The minister expressed appreciation for the useful contributions of all Council Members.
