    NNPP will collapse into APC for 2023 Presidential Election – Jigawa APC Chairman

    The Jigawa State chairman of the All Progress Congress (APC) Alhaji Aminu Sani has alleged that the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) will soon merge with the ruling APC in the forthcoming presidential election.

    The APC chairman who made the disclosure while speaking to our reporter in Dutse said “The NNPP presidential candidate, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had held a special meeting with the APC presidential candidate, Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to that effect”.

    Sani added “There is a good understanding and cordial relationship between them (Bola Tinubu and Musa Kwankwaso), so base on that meeting and what transpired there is very high indication that the NNPP will merge with APC in the presidential election.
    He said on the understanding, NNPP presidential candidate may not participate in the presidential election.

    He maintained that here is an ongoing discussion between the two parties the NNPP will not contest the Presidential but will field candidates for other positions in some states.

    He disclose that the APC has been receiving thousands of NNPP members in droves who dumped their party to join the ruling party in various levels in the state.

    According to him “We are preparing for a grand ceremony to formally receive members of the NNPP here in Jigawa state.
    Presently, he said, the party has been receiving them differently; elected officials and party’s stalwarts in the state.

    “We are receiving them every day from all angles, the most recent were 17 NNPP local government chairmen and some state’s executive members who came through the Southwest senatorial candidate, Senator Muhammad Sabo Nakudu”.

    The chairman expressed confidence that the party will win the presidential and governorship election, “With the present leadership, justice and fairness of president Muhammadu Buhari at the national level and governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar in the state, we a very much sure of victory in the forthcoming general election”.

    “The APC led administration under president Muhammadu Buhari had done so much for the people in this country through various policies and programmes that have positively impacted on the social and economical lives of the citizens of the country. Likewise at the state level, the governors did their best side”.

    The chairman called on the people to vote all the APC candidates at all levels for continuity.
