Aliyu visits site of Kubwa building collapse, sympathises with victims

The Minister of State FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has visited the site of Kubwa building collapse as she commiserated with victims’ families
Two persons had been confirmed dead after a three-storey building collapsed in Kubwa Satellite town, Abuja.


The building, which was under construction, collapsed at Hamza Abdullahi Street Off Gado Nasco Road in the early hours of Friday.
Aliyu, who was at the scene of the incident for on the spot assessment of the damages, wished the injured speedy recovery, as she also prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives
Special Adviser New Media OHMS Andrew Essien in a statement indicated that the minister thanked the first responders and institutions of the FCT Administration for their tireless work in the rescue operation
“I want to say that it was with a very heavy heart that we at the FCT Administration received this sad news and for those in the hospital, we wish them a very quick recovery.

“So far, this is the last recovered body, and he has been confirmed dead. We are still waiting to hear from the National Hospital. There were five cases, two have been discharged, three others are still receiving treatment . May God give the families the fortitude to bear the loss.

“We want to appreciate the emergency units of the Federal Capital Territory Administration who have put their hands on deck, including the residents of the area who have been up since 1:00am trying to see how to rescue trapped victims
