Osun election outcome is feedback for the APC government- Fasua
Presidential candidate of Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP) in 2019 presidential election Tope Kolade Fasua has described the outcome of the governorship election in Osun State as a feedback to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)Government both locally and nationally by the electorate.
Fasua who spoke via telephone interview while reacting to the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate adenoma Adeleke, said,
“The winning was clear enough, the next thing to think about now is how he.will govern the people and what plans he has for the State.
“It is victory for Democracy, it is also victory for INEC, the people have chosen everybody has to fall in line.”
He said the ruling APC government has set Nigeria back tremendously which he said is a big shame.
“It is left for those still on the scene to pick up the pieces because Buhari has done his time and has taken us back to the stone age.
“They have given a feedback because Aregbesola invited a lot of debts that they have to be grappling with for sometime they get as less as N6000 from Federal allocation in some months and they struggle to pay salary.
“What Oyetola has tried to do was to stabilize the place financially perhaps he was too much of an accountant and hence failed to take care of the political angles.
“In a State like Osun the incumbency factor may be a disadvantage because people will complain, even though infrastructure is available but there is no cash flow, no money to spend. I think the people have spoken and everybody must comply.”
