Bandits kill Area commander, another officer in Katsina

An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aminu Umar and another officer have paid the supreme price while in active service protecting the lives and property of citizens
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Gambo Isah indicated that that terrorists numbering over three hundred (300), on motorcycles, were shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles and General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG) had ambushed ambushed ACP Aminu Umar, and his team while on clearance operation of recalcitrant bandits/terrorists, in Zakka forest, Safana LGA of Katsina state.
However, the statement indicated that
the Area Commander and one other gallantly lost their lives during a cross exchange of gun fire.

The commissioner of police, Katsina State Police command CP Idrisu Dabban Dauda on behalf of the officers and men of the Command expresses his deep sympathy to the family of the deceased and prayed to almighty Allah to repose their souls in Jannatul Firdausi.
He reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to the ongoing onslaught against terrorism in the state until it is completely wiped out.
