    PMB, Tinubu to inaugurate Gov Bello’s projects in Kogi

    President Muhammad Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer in the 2023 Presidential Election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu are to inaugurate several infrastructural development projects executed by Governor Yahaya Bello administration in a few days from now.

    Bello disclosed this while inspecting the projects which cut across Health, Education, Roads, Water among other sectors across the state at the weekend in Lokoja.

    Addressing newsmen at Kogi State Specialist Hospital Lokoja, the former presidential aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) said the projects had all been completed and were awaiting inauguration.

    The Governor who was visibly elated with the quality of work he met after going round Lokoja the state capital to inspect the level of completion of some projects in the state said he was satisfied.

    “All the jobs so far executed are excellent, ready for commissioning. The commissioning now depends on President Muhammadu Buhari’s schedule. From this moment we are ready.

    “I have to personally inspect the projects to ensure that they meet my taste not just standard, taste and quality before I invite our president and our flag bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other dignitaries to come and commission our projects here in Kogi state.

    “We are going to contact him (the President) and definitely, he will send his team to come and inspect what we are asking him to come and commission and then he will give us a date as soon as we have the date we will let you know.

    ”I am highly satisfied with the quality of job done. GYB stands for standard and quality, and you can only use quality and standard to describe GYB.

    ”So, today we have a remodeled Specialist Hospital, manned by a competent Chief Medical Director (CMD), Prof. Isah Adagiri Yahaya and all of his other team in the hospital” he stated.

    Projects inspected include GYB Model Science Secondary School, Adankolo, PMB Civic Centre, Ganaja Overhead bridge, Specialist Hospital Lokoja , Roads among others.

    In his remark, Prof. Isah Adagiri Yahaya, Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja attributed the successes recorded in the hospital to the governor’s commitment, hardwork.

    The CMD disclosed that the Governor had given express approval for the employment of more doctors and supporting staff, saying the hospital could presently boast of 14 different specialists in different areas of medicine.

    “Presently we have about 50 doctors in the hospital and the governor has graciously approved the employment of more doctors.

    “He has also promised to provide us with CT Scan (Computerised Tomography Scan) and Advanced Life Support Mobile Clinic because of its need in the hospital”, he said.

    Prof. Yahaya commended the governor for his support and concern for the health sector in the state and assured that the hospital would continue provide better services. (Ends)
