NNPP condemns call for Kwankwaso to return to ‘drowning party’, APC
The call for Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to return to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) credited to the deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress Hon Yakubu Murtala Ajaka has been condemned by the National chairman of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), prof. Rufai Alkali
Ajaka had asked former Kano state governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to return to the ruling party which he built where he has great future to become President saying it is not too late for Kwankwaso to retrace his steps
The deputy publicity also told the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) that he does not have hope of becoming a President on his current political platform.
In a swift reaction, Prof Alkali described the thoughts of Ajaka as the sound of that of a drowning man looking for straw to hang onto.
According to him, Ajaka has failed to study the mood of the nation hence he could note perceive the mass influx of APC members and indeed those from other parties into NNPP.
According to Alkali, ” I won’t be surprised if Yakubu Murtala Ajaka knocks on our doors in coming days to give him accommodation”. Nigerians he maintains have since expressed their dissatisfaction with the APC and are looking for credible alternative which they find in NNPP.
But the chairman of NNPP prof. Alkali In dismissing the call said the APC chieftain is living in the past and should wake up to current realities.
