***Plans for revival of late Adoja’s political structure

Worried by the outcome of June 7 Presidential Primary Election of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), that left party’s candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu with zero vote from Kogi delegates, some leaders of the party have commenced a process reforming the party ahead of 2023 general elections.

The APC chieftains, who are mostly supporters, admirers and followers of former Kogi State Governor, late Prince Abubakar Audu, felt embarrassed with the development, hence they have resolved to rescue the Party.

To this end, APC members drawn from the three Senatorial Districts of Kogi State in solidarity with the late ADOJA’s political dynasty, are putting finishing touches to plans aimed to rebirth a new APC in the State.

The elders vowed to bring together all the supporters of late Prince Abubakar Audu under one umbrella.
A competent source close to the arrangements disclosed that efforts are on top gear to establish contact and mobilisation committees with a view to interfacing with Adoja ‘s political associates in the State and beyond.

The source whose name is not mentioned yet in print, due to the sensitivity of the project, added further that, “Interface is already ongoing at various levels across the State with families, wards, local Government Councils in order to assemble these wonderful people to achieve a common goal of “Salvaging our great party.”

“Our common goal is to rescue the Kogi State chapter of APC and reset it on a path to vote in transformational and purposeful leadership at all levels of governance, especially, during tbe Presidential Election.

According to him “We’re making some consultations in the direction of reviving late Adoja’s political structure in Kogi.’

“We can’t ignore this fact that Tinubu’s score in Kogi was 0. Seventeen (17) Kogi delegates voted for Gov Yahaya Bello and 30 votes from some other States to give him 47.

“This puts to question where’s current political structure’s weight in Kogi in an election where truly votes are cast and counted property in public glare?, he queried.
“What we’re trying to do is to bring together all adherents of ADOJA; we need a deliberate reform in Kogi APC as it stands today, because the party as presently arranged cannot win a Presidential election in the State. We’re not talking of governorship yet.”
