Jigawa PDP guber candidate promises synergy with emirs for successful tenure

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Jigawa State gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido has promised to collaborate with the traditional institution in moving the State to the next level if he wins the 2023 governorship election in the State.

He spoke on Monday in Hadejia when he visited the Emir of Hadejia Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje in his place to seek for royal blessing.

Lamido reaffirmed that if he wins the Jigawa state governorship election come 2023 Jigawa PDP’s leadership will remain loyal, obedient and supportive to the royal circle in the state.

The candidate said for him to succeed he needs the blessings and support of traditional rulers in the state. 

He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the traditional rulers in promoting peace and harmony in the state by ensuring that the state is secured. 

He prayed for continued unity of purpose, mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence and positive development in the State.

Santuraki thanked God Almighty for making Jigawa a united and peaceful state. 

The candidate assured the Emir that, they will remain faithful and responsible children of Jigawa. 

Former PDP Chairman and an Elder of the party Isa Duniya Bahutu said as part of the People’s  Democratic party’s tradition in the state, immediately after party primaries for elective positions is concluded, the party candidates visit traditional rulers to consult with them and seek for their royal blessings. 

Responding the Emir of Hadejia, Adamu Abubakar Maje who appreciated the visit said San Turaki Dutse is a well known person to them. 

The Royal Father advised him and other party candidates to be fervent in their prayers to God. He urged people to obtain their permanent voters card and pray for peaceful conduct of 2023 General Elections. 

 “You need no introduction in the society and you also need no re-examination on your lineage and  character. What you only need is to keep being yourself, be patient and prayerful. 

The Emir also urged his supporters/followers to be steady in prayers as he enjoined all Jigawa people to be law abiding and be wary of anything that will cause violence

It would be recalled that in his acceptance speech after winning the party Primaries, Mustapha Sule Lamido pledged to consult with traditional rulers and Elders from time to time as he has tremendous respect for them.  

The Governorship candidate was accompanied by party members and supporters. Meanwhile the visit to other traditional rulers in the state will continue
