A pro democracy group known as Progressive Network for Democracy (PND) has commended the peaceful conduct of All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election in Jigawa state.
The group gave the indication n a press statement issued by its national secretary comrade Sale Birniwa in Dutse.
The statement described the successful conduct of the primary election as a sign of Democratic development in the state and also how people of the state and political actors respect the tenets of democracy.
The group also commended Governor Muhammad Badaru for being neutral during the exercise which provided enabling environment for all the aspirants to participate freely without fear of political intimidation, with an opportunity to test their popularity.
They also described Governor Badaru as a champion of democracy, peace and good governance.
The statement further described the primary election which produced Alhaji Umar Namadi as the APC gubernatorial flag bearer as one of the most credible in the history of Jigawa state politics.

The group called on the people of the state to ensure they voted only for people of integrity, tested and trusted for peace and progress of the state in the forthcoming 2023 general election
