    Pondi wins PDP ticket for Burutu Federal constituency

    The incumbent member of the House of Representatives for Burutu Federal Constituency, Honourable Julius G. Pondi has won the PDP primary to contest the 2023 election to the house.
    In a statement, his media office indicated that Hon. Pondi’s victory was an evidence that his constituents had been closely following his sterling performance in the green chamber of the National Assembly.
    The statement explained that the lawmaker defeated two other contestants as clear reinforcement of his people’s confidence in his performance in the House of Representatives.
    Hon. Pondi polled 21 votes to defeat his closest rival, Hon. Franc Enekorogha who had 12 votes, while Deacon Arede Edeinmene was beaten to the third position with 2 votes.

    Reacting to his victory, Hon. Pondi thanked the leaders of his party the PDP at all levels for the honour done to him by his people.

    He said the ticket, is an affirmation by his constituents that he had been meeting, through his performance in the House of Representatives, with their expectation in advocating for
    Burutu share of the dividends of democracy in the country.

    Hon Pondi called for greater and closer collaboration among aff stake-holdersthe traditional institution youths, women groups and the general citizenry of Burutu Federal for enhanced victory for the PDP in the constituency and Delta State.

    He is a Member Committees on Agric Institutions & Colleges; Appropriation; Public Account; Labour; Maritime; inland Water Ways; Nigeria Contents Development & Monitoring; Army.
