Kantigi wins PDP Guber ticked for Niger State

Hon. Isah Liman Kantigi has emerged flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party in Niger State after polling 667 to defeat four other contestants

The Chairman of the electoral committee of the party Mr Lawrence Ewhrudkjakpo who is also the deputy governor of Bayelsa state declared Kantigi winner having scored the highest number of votes.
His closest opponent Sani Idris Kutigi scored a total 114 while Engr Abdullahi Jankara scored 21votes, Barrister 3 votes while Hon Abdull Sidi Guni had zero votes.
Ewhrudkjakpo condoled the government and people of Niger State over the killing of 4 delegates by armed bandits
“Our heart goes to those who were killed by bandits while on their way to Minna, for the party Primaries, our condolences go to the PDP and also the Niger State government” he said.
Hon. Sani Kutigi who scired 114votes to come second described the Primary election as peaceful and transparent assuring that he will remain in the party to work with the winner so that the party can emerge victorious at the general election.
“I’m okay with the whole process of the election. It is transparent, I’m satisfied I and my supporters will remain in the party and work with the winner so that we can emerge victorious at the general election” he said.
