***woos women, youths for support
An Abuja based politician and activist, Liatu Danladi has solicited the support for the emergence of a Kano based politician and administrator, Dr. Jamilu Ishaku Gwamna as the next governor of Gombe state.
Liatu who is the Women Leader of Sarduana Development Awareness (SDA), an organisation charged with mobilizing support for the philanthropist is aspiring to represent Gona, Akko constituency in the Gombe State House of Assembly in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
She disclosed in an interview in Abuja that efforts are in top gear to ensure that Ishaku emerged as the next occupant of Government House, Gombe.
According to her, Ishaku has impacted seriously on the development of infrastructure and human resources of the people of the state in his private capacity.
She said, “We reason that if Dr. Jamilu Ishaku Gwamna can touch the lives of the people of Gombe state even as a private citizen, he would do better as governor of the state.”
Danladi hinted that the philanthropist has the people of Gombe state at heart hence he has contributed in no small measure to its development.
“As a silent achiever, he has done so well especially in the empowerment of women and youths.
“Mallam Jamilu Ishaku has touched the lives of our state so much so that he has given a lot of scholarship to indigent students.
“He has also sponsored some deserving women and youths in acquiring skills to ensure their self sufficiency.
Therefore, it is our candid belief that if he has the love of the people of Gombe state at heart this much, he would do more for the state as its number one citizen.
She assured that the women and youths will put in all necessary efforts to campaign vigorously to galvanize support for him to reciprocate his good gesture now as in the past.
“He is a seasoned administrator and kind hearted. Gombe state needs him to be on the driver’s seat in 2023 and beyond.
“We however appealef to him to remain focus and shun all forms of distractions from the enemies of the state who might want to scuttle his hard earned efforts and hardwork.
