    Jigawa Women call for enforcement of child right act on their day

    The Executive Director HASNUR Iniative for Women and Youth Development in Jigawa state, Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab has called on the Jigawa state government and law enforcement agencies to enforce the Child Right Law enacted recently in the state

    Speaking as part of this year’s Women International Day celebration in Dutse, Jigawa, the executive director described inadequate women involvement in government policies and programmes, inadequate focus on women education and poor women participation in politics as major challenges of women in the state.

    Th executive director said the area of focus of her organization are on Women, Youth and people with Disabilities. She therefore called on the state government to give more attention to women and girl child education, women empowerment by ensuring that there is full enforcement of child rights law in the state.
