    NYO suspends Secretary, sets up mobilization committee 2023

    The Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO) has announced the suspension of its national secretary general Comrade Duke Alamboye-Kitchener, with immediate effect
    The National Publicity Secretary Hon Chief Ejimadu Sixtus Kingsley in a statement said he has been replaced with Dr. Mike Abuo, as New Secretary-General of the Organisation.

    He indicated that his suspension from office is at the instance of incessant verbal and written complaints from his kinsmen of the South South (Niger Delta) Zone, the North and most parts of the Country against him.
    The statement reads,
    “This is to inform all the Stakeholders, Members of the Executive Council (EXCOs) at all levels of the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), the Mass Media and the general public that Comrade Duke Alamboye-Kitchener, has been suspended from office as the National Secretary General of the Organisation, with immediate effect.

    “After an extraordinary meeting and consultation with National Executive Council Members and other stakeholders, it became unavoidably necessary to remove Comrade Duke Alamboye-Kitchener from office on grounds of Gross Misconduct over Financial Impropriety and reckless administrative injustices inflicted on Members and some innocent citizens.

    “To this end, a Special Investigation Committee is being set up to enquire and ascertain the degree of his offences for necessary sanctions and so on.

    In his place, the Niger Delta (South South Zone) has nominated Dr. Mike Abuo who has been approved to serve as the new National Secretary-General of the Organisation.
    In another development, the President of the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), Hon. Amb. Abdullahi Wali, has scheduled 1st July 2022 for the inauguration of the NYO National Youth Mobilisation Committee 2023, with
    Dr. Prince Mike Abuo, as the new National Chairman of the Committee, while Comrade Augustine Akubo serves as its Secretary.

    According to the Committee Chairman, Chairmen of all Political Parties, INEC Chairman, Presidential Candidates of Political Parties; Security Chiefs, Special Advisers on Political Affairs to the President and Vice President of the Country are expected to attend as Stakeholders.

    The Committee is geared towards mobilising over Five Million Youths across States, Local Governments and Wards of the Federation, for peaceful conduct of the 2023 elections, as well as vote for candidates that will ensure good governance, peace and development of the Country.
