Angry Youths Disrupt Kaduna APC Primary, Force Chairman Into Vehicle

Tension erupted in Kaduna State on Saturday after aggrieved youths allegedly forced the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Igabi Local Government Area, Bashir Jibrin Jaji, into a waiting vehicle following a controversial House of Representatives primary election in Igabi Federal Constituency.
The crisis reportedly followed allegations by party supporters that the primary election process was manipulated in favour of aspirant Hussaini Jalo against rival contender Sani Abdulkadir Dakaci.
Witnesses said the atmosphere turned chaotic after party officials allegedly declared Jalo winner without proper accreditation, voting, or vote counting, triggering outrage among supporters gathered for the exercise in Rigachikun.
Several aggrieved party members insisted that no valid election took place, claiming supporters had assembled at designated collection centres from early morning but were never officially accredited before the announcement of results.
A viral video circulating online reportedly showed the APC local government chairman being whisked away by angry youths amid the confusion that trailed the disputed exercise.
One supporter, Musa Salihu, alleged that party faithful lined up for the process but were ignored before the sudden declaration of results.
Another supporter, Musbahu Idris, claimed party members had gathered at LEA Birnin Yero in Kwarau Ward in anticipation of voting procedures that never commenced.
However, some loyalists defended the exercise, maintaining that a legitimate primary election was conducted and that Jalo emerged winner through due process.
A supporter of the chairman, Haruna Sani, accused the protesting youths of assaulting the APC chairman before forcing him into the vehicle despite attempts to prevent the attack.
