Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, who represents Katsina Central Senatorial District, has expressed appreciation to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Katsina State for endorsing him as consensus candidate for the 2027 senatorial election, describing the decision as both humbling and a renewed call to service.
The endorsement was announced at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Government House, Katsina, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, where party leaders formally affirmed support for his second-term ambition.
Yar’adua said the unanimous backing from the party hierarchy reflects confidence in his performance and reinforces the need for continuity in representation.
According to him, a second term in the Senate would enhance his ability to attract federal projects, sponsor impactful legislation, and strengthen Katsina Central’s influence in national decision-making.
He added that experience and seniority in the National Assembly remain critical to delivering tangible benefits to constituents across the eleven local government areas of the district.
The senator also commended Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and the Katsina State APC Chairman, Dr. Bashir Gambo, for what he described as their role in ensuring a peaceful and consensus-driven process within the party.
He praised the leadership’s commitment to internal democracy and unity, noting that the outcome demonstrates political maturity within the APC in Katsina State.
Yar’adua further thanked constituents for their continued support since his election, urging them to sustain their confidence in his leadership ahead of the next polls.
He pledged to deepen engagement with communities and consolidate ongoing development efforts if given another mandate.
“Together, we have begun a journey of transformation. With renewed trust, we will do more, speak louder in the Senate, and ensure every community feels the impact of effective representation,” he said.
