Former Kaduna State Senator, Shehu Sani, has raised the alarm over the alleged dumping of a hotel guest’s corpse under a bridge, describing the reported incident as a matter that deserves public attention.
Sani made the disclosure in a Facebook post while urging lawyers to use their social media platforms to educate Nigerians about the legal consequences of their actions.
According to the former lawmaker, a woman who was with the deceased allegedly took his phone and left the hotel after discovering that he had died.

Sani further alleged that hotel workers later entered the room, removed the corpse and dumped it under a bridge.
“A guest died in a hotel. After realising that he is lifeless, the lady with him took his phone and left. The Hotel staff entered the room, took the corpse and dumped it under the Bridge,” Sani wrote.
The former senator did not disclose the identity of the deceased, the hotel where the incident allegedly occurred or the circumstances surrounding the death.
He, however, used the incident to stress the importance of public awareness of the law, particularly when dealing with sudden or unexplained deaths.
Sani urged lawyers with active social media accounts to regularly provide legal education to members of the public, saying Nigerians need to understand the consequences of actions that could amount to unlawful conduct.
He also reminded the public that ignorance of the law does not excuse a person from its consequences.
The details of the alleged incident could not be independently verified.
