The Obedient Movement of the North Central Zone has issued a strong warning to anyone threatening or attacking H.E. Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, declaring that such acts will no longer be met with silence. Speaking from the movement’s national headquarters in Abuja, leaders urged those seeking to destabilize the country to reconsider their actions, warning that reckless behavior of this kind could carry serious consequences.
Daniel Dumeji, the Lead Coordinator for the FCT chapter of the Obedient Movement, told journalists that recent incidents in Edo State, including attacks on supporters of Peter Obi, prompted a thorough investigation. “We have taken our time to understand what happened, who was behind these acts, and what their next moves might be,” he said. Dumeji emphasized that anyone bent on intimidation or threats must rethink their strategies, stressing that any attacks during Obi’s campaigns would be met with firm and decisive action.
The movement made clear that no group holds a monopoly on violence. Its members, Dumeji said, are responsible, law-abiding citizens committed to peaceful but determined action. “We will confront anyone attempting to use threats or violence. Further attacks will no longer be tolerated,” he added. The group also reaffirmed its support for Peter Obi, insisting that he will continue his political mission and is on course to win the 2027 presidential election, positioning him as central to the vision of a “New Nigeria.”
Calling on all Nigerians to reject intimidation and oppression, the Obedient Movement asserted that the country belongs to all citizens. It warned that attempts to use positions of power to silence opposition will fail and pledged to continue standing firmly with Peter Obi until a reformed and accountable Nigeria is realized.
In conclusion, the movement highlighted the role of divine guidance in national affairs and reaffirmed its commitment to rescuing Nigeria from corruption and mismanagement. “A New Nigeria is possible,” it said, urging citizens to rise and actively participate in shaping a brighter, more prosperous future.
