Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua has congratulated Dr. Bashir Gambo on his election as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, describing his emergence as a reflection of growing internal democracy within the party.
In a congratulatory message, the senator commended the peaceful and rancour-free process that produced Dr. Gambo, noting that it signals political maturity and unity within the state chapter of the APC.
Yar’Adua expressed confidence in Gambo’s capacity to provide strong and inclusive leadership, citing his experience in Katsina politics as an asset that would help consolidate party cohesion and reposition the APC for future challenges.
According to the senator, the new executive under Gambo’s leadership carries the responsibility of strengthening party structures and preparing the ground for victory in the 2027 general elections.
He urged party members across the state to rally behind the new chairman to ensure unity and sustained electoral success.
Dr. Gambo was recently elected to lead the Katsina APC following what party stakeholders described as a consensus-driven and transparent process.
Observers say his emergence comes at a strategic time as political parties begin early groundwork ahead of the next general election cycle.
