Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, representing Katsina Central Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, love and national unity as Christians celebrate Christmas.
In a Christmas message released on December 25, 2025, the senator described the yuletide as a season that calls for reflection, compassion and renewed commitment to building a united and peaceful nation. He urged citizens to rise above divisions of faith, region and ethnicity, and to extend kindness to the less privileged.
“This is a season for togetherness. We must embrace one another and remember families who may not have the means to celebrate,” Yar’Adua said, stressing that simple acts of kindness and cooperation can help heal communities and strengthen national bonds.
The lawmaker also offered special prayers for members of the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies on duty during the festive period, acknowledging their sacrifices in safeguarding lives and property.
“Our security personnel have given so much this year to keep the country safe,” he said. “Nigerians must support them by cooperating with security agencies, sharing credible information and remaining vigilant against suspicious activities.”
Yar’Adua cautioned against misinformation and actions that could undermine security efforts, urging citizens to act responsibly and in the collective interest of peace.
Reaffirming his legislative commitment, the senator pledged continued support for peace-building initiatives and improved welfare for security personnel across the country.
He wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas and expressed hope that the New Year 2026 would usher in renewed peace, unity and prosperity for the nation.
