The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has restated his commitment to deepening inter-agency cooperation with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the fight against crime across the state.

Dantawaye gave the assurance when the newly deployed NSCDC Commandant in Kogi, Aletan Olumide Ebenezer, paid him a courtesy visit at the Police Command Headquarters in Lokoja.

Highlighting the role of timely intelligence in crime prevention, the CP said strategic partnerships and information sharing were critical to effective security management.

“Collaboration must be mutually beneficial, ensuring serious commitment to emergency response and public safety,” Dantawaye emphasized. He commended Commandant Ebenezer for initiating the visit, describing it as a step toward building stronger cooperation for improved policing and community safety.

In his remarks, Commandant Ebenezer said his visit was aimed at strengthening the existing synergy between the Police and NSCDC in Kogi. He underscored the importance of unity among security agencies to tackle criminality and other threats to public safety, stressing that intelligence sharing and a collaborative approach remain essential.

The visit, officials noted, underscored inter-agency solidarity and renewed determination to work collectively for a safer Kogi State.
