    Rano LGA Engages 100 Health Workers to Strengthen Healthcare Delivery

    As part of its commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare, the Rano Local Government Council has recruited over 100 health workers under a temporary employment scheme.

    Rabiu Khalil Kura in a statement indicated that the move is aimed at bolstering the workforce and ensuring improved healthcare services across communities in the area.

    The statement quoted the Council Chairman, Hon. Naziru Ya’u, to have made spoken during a courtesy visit by the Voice of the Hopeful Enlightenment Initiative (VHEI), a non-governmental organization focused on health advocacy and community outreach.

    Hon. Ya’u noted that the temporary engagement of health personnel would significantly contribute to addressing workforce shortages and enhancing the effectiveness of public health interventions in Rano.
    He also encouraged the health workers to remain diligent and committed to their responsibilities.

    Speaking on behalf of VHEI, Mr. Peter Hassan Tijjani, the team lead, commended the local government’s efforts in rehabilitating health facilities and expanding healthcare access.
    He stated that the organization is currently involved in malaria prevention and advocacy for stronger primary healthcare systems in the area.

    Mr. Tijjani also expressed interest in deepening collaboration with the council to deliver impactful health interventions across Rano.

    The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to explore future partnerships that will further improve healthcare outcomes for residents.
