2027: Timi Frank Urges Northern, Southern Leaders to Reject Tinubu’s Political Tactics

Former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary and ULMWP Ambassador, Comrade Timi Frank, has warned Nigerians—especially Northern and Southern leaders—not to fall for what he described as President Bola Tinubu’s desperate bid to retain power in 2027.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Frank accused Tinubu of manipulating ethnic divisions, intimidating opposition governors, and using state power to coerce defections to the APC.
He claimed at least five PDP governors are under pressure to switch parties or face political consequences, including threats of state emergencies.

“To Tinubu, the 2027 election is no longer about competence but a power struggle against the North,” Frank said.
“He’s exploiting the South while sidelining the very North that supported him in 2023.”

Frank urged Nigerians to reject regional politics, insisting that 2027 should be about electing a leader capable of tackling insecurity, poverty, and economic hardship.

“The country doesn’t need a Northern or Southern candidate—it needs a capable and unifying leader,” he said. “Tinubu’s divisive tactics and disregard for democratic values are a threat to national unity.”

He alleged that Tinubu is sowing crises within opposition parties to weaken their platforms ahead of the elections. “His only goal is to remain in power by any means necessary, even at the expense of the nation,” Frank added.

Frank called on opposition leaders to unite and prioritize national interest. “A strong coalition is key to saving Nigeria in 2027,” he concluded.
