In a major step toward addressing water scarcity in Kogi East, Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has completed the construction of motorized boreholes in Idah, Ankpa, Dekina, and several neighboring communities. This initiative is set to ease the burden of water access for thousands of residents who have struggled with limited or unreliable water sources.

According to the Senator’s Special Assistant on Media, Mikail Ibrahim, the newly completed boreholes will significantly improve access to clean water, bringing much-needed relief to the region.
“By providing sustainable, safe water sources, Senator Isah Jibrin not only improves public health but also enhances the quality of life for residents who previously faced long, arduous journeys to fetch water,” he stated.

The boreholes mark a crucial intervention for households in Kogi East, where water scarcity has affected public health and daily living conditions.
Ibrahim noted that access to clean water directly impacts hygiene, productivity, and school attendance in the community.
“This isn’t just an infrastructure project,” he emphasized. “It’s a major contribution to the public health framework of the senatorial district.”

Senator Echocho has pledged to continue his efforts, with more projects already scheduled for the coming weeks.
The series of initiatives is part of his broader commitment to infrastructural development in Kogi East, targeting critical areas such as education, healthcare, and economic empowerment to provide holistic support to his constituents.

“The Senator’s pipeline of development projects is both broad and ambitious,” Ibrahim said. “With these completed boreholes, he is demonstrating his commitment to essential services that create lasting community impact.”

Senator Echocho reaffirmed that these projects align closely with his development goals for Kogi East, promising that further infrastructural improvements are on the way. As he puts it, “These initiatives are about improving quality of life and meeting the fundamental needs of our communities.”
