Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has pledged to work closely with stakeholders to tackle the pressing challenges of insecurity and extreme poverty in the region.

This commitment was made by Comrade Ukashatu Bello, the newly elected coordinator of the Jigawa State chapter of the CNG, in his acceptance speech following his inauguration and other executive members of the group.

Bello reiterated the critical state of the country, particularly in terms of security and the economy, stating, “Nigeria and Nigerians are in a critical situation, especially in the areas of security and the economy, which requires all hands to be on deck for lasting solutions.”

He explained that his leadership would focus on addressing key issues affecting the region, including insecurity, poverty, and limited access to education and healthcare.
“At this point, it is crucial that we work together to address the pressing challenges facing our people,” he added.

Bello also promised a leadership style that would be open and inclusive, ensuring transparency and accountability in the organization’s operations to achieve its objectives.

He commended the peaceful conduct of the election and vowed to strengthen the coalition’s efforts in promoting unity, peace, and justice across the region.

The new executive members include Shamsudeen Sani Kandi as Deputy State Coordinator, Nazir Garki as Secretary, along with several directors responsible for various sectors of the organization. They will lead the group for a four-year term.
