The Jigawa State Pilgrim Welfare Board has recieved 1525 Hajj Seats from the National Hajj Commission (NAHCO) for the 2023 Hajj.

This was disclosed by the director operations in the state, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, while speaking to newsmen on their preparation for 2023 Hajj exercise.

Alhaj Labbo explained that “the National Hajj Commission has increased the number of seats by over 70 percent against last year where the state recieved only 630 seats”.

According to him the board is to deposit N1,867,362,500 with National Hajji Commission as a payment of the 50 percent of total Hajj seats allocated to the state by next week.

He explained that the board has already allocated the seats to the 27 local government areas of the state, adding that “following a good and quick plan and preparations for the 2023 Hajj exercise the board has so far exhausted 556 seats.

“The substantial number of seats have already been sold which included 441 paid through Hajji savings in Jaiz Bank.

“However 116 were paid in GT bank. As the sale is ongoing I am optimistic that before the end of this month the board will exhaust all the allocations “

“So I am calling on all intending pilgrims to quickly go to their nearest Centre officer for further clarification on how to pay for the Hajj seat before they exhausted ” Labbo stated

The Director however, disclosed that, the board has already secured accomodation for the pilgrims in Mecca, close to Ka’aba for a smooth spiritual exercise.
