A brief moment during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Akwa Ibom State has attracted attention after video footage showed aides and security operatives rushing to steady him when he appeared to stumble while approaching his convoy.

The incident happened on Friday, November 6, shortly after Tinubu’s official engagements and appearance at an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Uyo.

In the circulating footage, the President appeared to lose his footing, prompting those accompanying him to move quickly and offer support.

The moment has since generated reactions on social media, with Nigerians sharing and commenting on the footage.

Tinubu was in Akwa Ibom for the commissioning of infrastructure projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration, including the new international terminal building at Victor Attah International Airport, an airport hospital and the Ibom Aviation Village.

He also attended the APC political rally as part of his engagements in the state.

There was no immediate official statement explaining the circumstances surrounding the stumble. Neither did the available footage establish that the President sustained any injury.

The brief incident, however, became one of the talking points surrounding the President’s visit, which combined official project inaugurations with political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
