The All Progressives Congress (APC) has widened its political mobilisation network ahead of the 2027 presidential election, assigning campaign roles to Nyesom Wike, Ademola Adeleke and Chukwuma Soludo despite their different party affiliations.
Under the revised presidential campaign council, Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, will coordinate the APC’s campaign in Rivers State and the FCT.
Adeleke, the Osun State governor who won his re-election on the platform of the Accord Party, was named campaign coordinator for Osun.

Soludo, who secured a second term in Anambra State under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), will coordinate the campaign in his state.
The appointments place the three politicians in a campaign structure supporting President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027.
The expanded council also strengthens the roles of APC governors and party candidates in the party’s nationwide mobilisation efforts.
All 32 APC governors have been named campaign coordinators for their respective states.
However, the party appointed its governorship candidates as coordinators in Oyo, Bauchi and Abia.
Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari retains his position as Director-General of the campaign council.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq were named deputy vice-chairmen I, II and III, respectively.
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni was appointed Deputy Director-General I for the North, while Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin was named Deputy Director-General II for the region.
Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu will serve as Deputy Director-Generals I and II for the South, respectively.
Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola was appointed Deputy National Coordinator I for stakeholder mobilisation in the South-West.
The revised list also includes 14 advisers, among them former APC National Chairman Bisi Akande, former Ogun State Governor Segun Osoba, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume and former Coordinating Minister of the Economy Wale Edun.
Other appointees include former Cross River South Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun and former APC National Secretary Iyiola Omisore.
The APC had released its initial campaign council list in August. The revised structure is expected to be inaugurated by Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.
The appointments come as political parties prepare for the 2027 general election, with INEC’s revised timetable setting January 14, 2027, as the end date for presidential and National Assembly campaigns.
