JAMB Unveils 2026 UTME Results for Underage Candidates: Key Admission Insights

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results for underage candidates, according to a statement from Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser.
This exciting news allows candidates and their families to check their performance.

However, Dr. Benjamin cautioned that the release of these results does not guarantee admission for all underage candidates.
Only those who meet specific criteria for exceptional consideration will be eligible for admission.

Underage candidates are defined as individuals who will be under 16 years old by September 30, 2026.
To find out their results, candidates can simply send “RESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the SIM card they registered with.

Importantly, candidates should remember that results cannot be used for admission unless they have achieved high scores, including a minimum UTME score of 320 and at least 80% in relevant subjects from the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.

Dr. Benjamin also emphasized the need for caution. He advised against sharing results for admission purposes unless the necessary qualifications are met. The admission process for exceptional candidates involves rigorous evaluations and will continue to be merit-based.

JAMB is currently awaiting the release of the National Examinations Council (NECO) results to finalize the assessment process.
