    Uche Nwosu Hails Nnenna Oti’s Legacy, Says She Repositioned FUTO for Excellence

    Former Chief of Staff to a former Governor of Imo State, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, has commended the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Professor Nnenna Oti, describing her tenure as a defining era that transformed the institution and laid a solid foundation for sustained academic excellence.
    Nwosu spoke while hosting the former Vice-Chancellor in Abuja, where he applauded her leadership and the far-reaching reforms implemented during her years at the helm of the university.
    He said Professor Oti’s administration brought renewed direction to FUTO through visionary leadership, institutional reforms and an unwavering commitment to excellence, adding that her achievements have earned widespread recognition from stakeholders across the education sector.
    According to him, the university witnessed remarkable progress under her stewardship, with initiatives that strengthened its academic standing, improved governance and enhanced its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading universities of technology.
    Nwosu described Oti’s tenure as a model of purposeful leadership driven by integrity, competence and a passion for service.
    He noted that her success story has become an inspiration to women aspiring to leadership positions, as well as to professionals committed to excellence in public service.
    “Professor Nnenna Oti’s leadership, vision and commitment to excellence have left an enduring imprint on FUTO. The transformation recorded during her tenure speaks for itself, and she deserves every commendation for repositioning the university for greater heights,” Nwosu said.
    He expressed confidence that the former Vice-Chancellor would continue to deploy her wealth of experience in advancing education and national development through future assignments.
    Wishing her continued success, Nwosu prayed that her expertise would remain a valuable resource for the country.
    Responding, Professor Oti expressed gratitude to Nwosu for the recognition, saying the successes achieved during her tenure were made possible through the collective efforts, dedication and support of the university community.
