Senate Committee Condoles Army Over Death of Brigadier-General

The Senate Committee on Army has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah and other soldiers who lost their lives in ongoing operations against insurgents.
In a statement, Committee Chairman Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua described the fallen officers as courageous patriots who paid the ultimate price in the defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
The Committee commended the bravery and commitment of personnel of the Nigerian Army, noting that their sacrifices continue to underscore the seriousness of the nation’s security challenges.
It assured the Armed Forces of continued legislative backing, including sustained support for funding and policy measures aimed at strengthening the military’s capacity to confront terrorism and other security threats.
Lawmakers urged troops to remain resolute and steadfast despite the difficult conditions on the frontlines, stressing that the nation remains deeply grateful for their service.
The Committee also extended condolences to the families of the deceased soldiers, describing the loss as national tragedy shared by all Nigerians.
It reaffirmed that the sacrifices of the fallen heroes will not be forgotten, adding that their commitment to duty represents the highest form of patriotism.
